Drag Idol UK

On 7th June 2018, the UK semi-final of the prestigious Drag Idol UK competition comes to the Royal Vauxhall Tavern.

Attendees will see winners from venues across the UK including from the Old Ship, Sundowners Margate, OMG Bristol, Halfway2Heavne, Eden and Admiral Duncan. 

This competition is the biggest event for drag talent in the UK and it is now going into its 14th year, with 2018’s event looking likely to be the biggest and best yet. 19 venues nationwide have competed and held individual heats, and now they’re sending their representatives forward to the finals which could launch careers of UK’s most talented up and coming drag queens.

Having already produced some top talent on the cabaret and queer scene, including Kelly Mild, Martha D’Arthur, Tanya Hyde, Tracy Barlow and Danny Beard, Drag Idol brings the kind of exposure that most amateur drag queens only dream of.
